Pigmail #1: Hogwild
Hello there, dear Furze Pig Fans - and please do get in touch if you have any better ideas for a collective reader name. Even 'FPFs' might be more chic, but it seems strange to jump straight to abbreviation on issue #1. I will admit, I have some first-date nerves as I write this, but I'm doing my best to put them in the corner and give them stern looks to make sure they stay there.
It hasn't been the best week here at Pig HQ, I will admit; the sadness of J leaving and me having to get back into the rhythm of my actual job seeped into me until I felt distinctly wet paper towel-ish come Tuesday night. Plus I was late with my T shot, having skipped the week previous, meaning my hormonal state was somewhere between 'teenage boy' and 'menopausal woman' on the scientific scale. I had a little weep on the sofa by lamplight and that helped a lot. Have you tried lamplight weeping? It's the latest wellness trend!
However: from the slump, the rise. I decided to finally get this publication set up following a lot of chats with Dear Charlie lately, plus some YouTube encouragement. The design elements thus far are... unideal... but it really was a case of "make something on Canva now now now anything will do" and I will fix it later. Wishing the best for all my prickly pals this coming week as we burrow further towards Real Autumn! Perhaps this weekend would be a good time to go blackberry picking?

1) I found this video while mulling over what to actually do with Ghost (and getting slightly overwhelmed), and it calmed me down a lot. If you are also a creative person freaked out about the social media of it all, I recommend letting Louise soothe you.
2) A few weeks ago, this video inspired me to make a very mini poster myself to hang opposite my bed. Every day I wake up and read Campbell's points and they encourage me greatly. BACK YOURSELF!
3) Of course, when I read 'back yourself', my brain connects it to this absolute banger. I got to yell this with a crowd of strangers in East London once and I do think it was a #healing experience.
KPOP KORNER
Please spare a thought for your pal this week as both Dokyeom and Mingyu from Seventeen have enlisted. A mere 7/13 of my sweet boys remain and morale is running low in this particular acre of Caratland. Best of luck, 베이비들 😔
That's all, see you next week! xoxo
